Karon L. Hoppe of Hemlock, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, June 6, 2019. She was 67 years old. Karon Lee Fiting was born on August 19, 1951, in Seattle, Washington, to the late Roger P. and Virginia (Knutkowski) Fiting. She was a proud 1969 graduate of Hemlock High School. Following graduation, Karon met and married the love of her life, John H. Hoppe, on June 30, 1973, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock; he survives her. She was employed in the banking industry for over 40 years; retiring in 2014 from Isabella Bank. Karon was a member of the Hemlock Business Association and served on the Sawdust Days committee. She enjoyed gardening and crafts, but most of all, she loved and cherished her grandchildren. Karon was present at every event and milestone in her grandchildrens lives. She will forever be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her sense of humor and for making everything fun, and for all the charitable events and organizations in which she participated. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, John Hoppe of Hemlock; two daughters: Kelli Hoppe of Flushing; Megan (Scott) Wells of Montrose; three granddaughters: Virginia, Isabella, and Bailey Wells; two sisters: Kristie Coty of Ogden, UT; Karo Fiting of Hemlock; one sister-in-law, Joanne (Bill) Sterling of Ludington; and a brother-in-law, Hank (Sherry) Hoppe of Dorothy, WV. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Honoring Karons wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimers Association.
