Passed away on November 23, 2022, at Samaritas Senior Living of Saginaw at the age of 80 years. Karen was born on March 06, 1942, in Saginaw, MI to the late Fred Buck and Arlene Amelia Rothfuss Barnard and was a 1961 graduate of Chapel Hill High School in Waltham, Massachusetts. She married John O’Connor on September 24th, 1966. He preceded her in death in 2012. She loves her church and was very active with choir and the Lady’s Guild until she was no longer physically able.

Karen is survived by daughter Katherine Espinosa (Gene Davenport) and her Granddaughter Sydney Espinosa; son John O’Connor, Jr., son Darrell O’Connor (Lisa) and his five children; brothers Thomas Barnard (Tippy), and Charles Barnard (Georgene); special nieces and nephew Charlie Barnard, Chelsea Borzenski, and Caity Holtsclaw; several other nieces and nephews; and special friend Nath Dixon.

Karen was preceded in death by brother Fred Barnard ll; and twin brother Kenneth Barnard.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, with a memorial service at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 14^th, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave., Saginaw, with visitation taking place from 10:00am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Peace Lutheran Adult Choir or Promedica Hospice.
