Romain, Mrs. Juliann Henrietta (Wegner) Thomas Township, MI Passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at St. Francis Home at the age of 96. Juliann was born October 14, 1917, in Saginaw to the late John and Augusta (Klugas) Wegner. She married Roger Romain May 30, 1940 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shields. He predeceased her April 21, 1995. Juliann was secretary for Saginaw Speedometer Service, a family owned business, for 30 years. She worked on Thomas Township elections and took school census for many years. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shields where she participated in Ladies Aid. Surviving are her sons and their wives, Rodney R. and Harriett Romain, Randall R. and Bonnie Romain, Roger R. and Marcia Romain, and Reed R. and Georjeanne Romain. Juliann was blessed with two granddaughters, eleven grandsons, and 20 great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Herman and Henry Wegner, Agnes Gorsline, and Meta Goodeman. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8795 Ederer Road. Pastor Wade Johnston will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Road and again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
