Amazing wife and mother passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Michener) Wilton was born on December 8, 1943, in Port Huron, MI. Judy graduated from Port Huron High School- the class of 1962. She then went to Port Huron Business College. Judy married David Dobson III on December 18, 1965; he survives her. She retired from the Vassar Public Schools, as Director of Food Services. Judy enjoyed cooking and caregiving for friends and family in her retirement. She was a long-time member of Bridgeport Community Church. Judy enjoyed traveling with David, spending time with her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband David, are their children: Michelle (Mike) Cannon, David (Nicole) Dobson IV, Christy (James) Buggia, grandchildren: Melissa Cannon, Meaghan Cannon, Robin Dobson, Samantha Dobson, Alexandria (Jacob) McIntyre, Tyler Buggia, Brooke Buggia, great-grandchildren: Anabelle Cannon, Kenneth Anderson and one on the way, special children: Dee DeForest, Brian Dunlap, Celeste LaCross, Kathy Massey, multiple bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends. Judy was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Cannon, her sisters Delila (Emery) Schoettle and Betty (Bob) Gaffney.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St. Bridgeport. With private burial later in Lakeport Cemetery in Burtchville Twp., MI. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Highway on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
