Obituary

Judy Alberta Baase passed away on October 31, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on April 19, 1944, in Saginaw, Michigan, to David and Madeline (Kurzhals) Felker. Judy was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School.

Judy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed trying her luck at the casino, watching classic westerns and The Andy Griffith Show, and listening to Elvis Presley. She also had a well-known sweet tooth, even when she wasn't supposed to indulge, and could often be found enjoying her favorite A&W Zero Sugar Root Beer.

Those who knew Judy best describe her as stubborn, sassy, and frugal. She was strong-willed, spoke her mind, and understood the value of a dollar. These qualities, along with her unique sense of humor and determination, made her truly unforgettable. Her memory will live on through the stories shared by those who loved her and in the countless reminders of the things that brought her happiness.

Judy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Shari (Robert) Anderson, Gene (Angela) Baase, and Amy Baase; her grandchildren, Amanda, Alisha, Andrew, and Haley; her great-grandchildren, Aden, Aubrie, Robert, Quinten "Q," and Ivan; her special niece, MariKay; her dear friend, Pat; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, David and Madeline Felker; her sister, Nancy (Fred) Smith; and her brother, David Felker.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 125 E. Saginaw Street, Merrill, Michigan 48637. Family and friends are invited to gather beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Judy will be laid to rest in a private burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens following the service.

Those wishing to honor Judy's memory may make a donation to the Dementia Society of America at https://www.dementiasociety.org/donate.

Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at the funeral chapel or online at www.casefuneralhome.com.
