Obituary

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the age of 82 years.

The daughter of the late Robert T. and Bernice (Olson) Darvill was born on April 3, 1943 in Chicago, Il. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in mathematics. Judy leaves behind her beloved husband of 60 years, Morton Weldy. She taught mathematics to junior high students before committing to stay at home to raise her three children. Judy and Mort were members of the First Congregational Church of Saginaw. Judy was active in her community, serving on the board of the The Saginaw Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square, and was a past president of the board. She was also part of the Saginaw County Lawyer’s Auxiliary as a volunteer, earning the Liberty Bell Award from the Michigan Lawyer’s Auxiliary for outstanding volunteering work. Judy was very skilled at duplicate bridge, becoming a life master. Judy was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan football teams. enjoyed traveling. She especially cherished time spent with her family and friends, always thinking of others' needs ahead of herself. 

Besides her husband, Mort, surviving her are their children: Karen (Wes) Ancel, Ken (Mikki) Weldy, Jim (Lisa) Weldy, grandchildren: Steven (Nichole), Aaron, Elizabeth, Rachel, Jessica, Kathryn, her brother Robert (Karin) Darvill, her nephew Eric (Kelly), and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
