Judith "Judy" Marie Penkala (Dubois)

Our angel and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away in Saginaw on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the age of 81. Judy was born in Bay City, Michigan, on March 1^st, 1942, to the late Alex & Clara (Marciniak) Dubois. She was introduced to Dan Penkala by her sister and the two would soon marry. He preceded her in death on January 6^th, 2023. Though she tended to the children of the area as the “neighborhood mom,” Judy’s true calling was as a devoted wife and mother to the family that grew up around her and Dan. She is remembered as being a sweet and friendly woman who would talk to anyone. She enjoyed spending time outside, had the companionship of many dogs throughout the years, and loved beautiful things like jewelry, angels, and flowers. Most importantly, she is remembered as being a loving mother who will be greatly missed.  

Judy is survived by her sons Dale Penkala and Korey Penkala; grandsons Alex Penkala and Austin Penkala; and sisters-in-law Patience Griffin, Louise Wakefield, and June Coonan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband Dan Penkala and sisters Shirley and Betty.

Funeral services for Judy will take place at 3:00pm on Friday, June 16^th, 2023, at W.L. Case & Company Funeral Home, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw, with Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of service.
