Juanita “Janie” M. Rodriguez of Saginaw, Michigan

Our most loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Age 71 years. Juanita M. Espinoza was born on November 19, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Adolpho Espinoza and Ernestina (Frank) Penalver. She married the love of her life, Juan Ruben Rodriguez, on November 2, 1990; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2014. Janie retired from AAA of Michigan as a Travel Agent after 35 plus years of service. Some of her favorite things to do were watching the Hallmark Channel, going for rides, drinking super-hot coffee, shopping, enjoying family gatherings, and eating homecooked meals. Just like her mother, she devoted her entire life to loving and watching her family grow.

Surviving are her brother, Adolfo (Victoria) Espinoza; sisters: Barbara Vera, Donna (Raymond) Pacheco, and Elizabeth Espinoza; three children: Tina (Marcus) Bernal, Tony-Troy Olgine Sr., and Lori (Roy) Ramirez; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her special friend, Sue Glass.

Janie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Juan R. Rodriguez; sister, Laura Espinoza, and great-granddaughter, Evie Reyes.

A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6^th Ave. Rev. Fr. Thai Nguyen will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Janie will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
