Joyce passed her faith on to her children, encouraging them to donate their time and talents to the church. The role of her lifetime was to be a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She truly treasured and cherished all 35 grandchildren, especially whoever was in front of her at the time. Joyce had a special way of making each grandchild feel loved, seen, and as if they were the most important person in her life. After getting her children off to school, Joyce always looked forward to meeting up for coffee with Agnes and the group to discuss ways they could better lives of other people. Throughout her life, Joyce and her sisters prepared and served countless meals for weddings, family gatherings, and baby showers. She was a gifted and talented seamstress, often designing and creating clothing for everyone, especially baby blankets. Infamously known as “Grandma” to all who loved her, Joyce had a heart of gold. She selflessly went out of her way to help others in need. Whether it was cooking or cleaning, there was no task she wouldn’t do. Joyce truly showed her love by random acts of kindness, this included cleaning the statutes of all the saints at Holy Family Catholic Church.
