Our loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Age 86 years.

Joyce was born on April 12, 1936, daughter of the late Howard and Dortha (Easton) Zimmer, in Saginaw.           

She married the love of her life, Donald Sparschu on November 24, 1956. Together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Donald and Joyce lived an incredible love story, caring for each other and making many special memories. Joyce supported Donald during his time in the service, moving to Washington for two years before returning to the new home that Donald built for her. He predeceased her on February 14, 2022. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler, with many trophies to show for it. She enjoyed traveling, camping and baking. Joyce was an awesome decorator and loved to shop, especially antiquing. Joyce was a loving, nurturing mother, adored her grandchildren and most of all cherished the time spent with her family.

Joyce will be missed by her children, Donald J. (Jeannie) Sparschu, Diane Love and Linda (Tim) Buska; grandchildren, Marissa Sparschu, Dylan (Jessica) Sparschu, Andrew Love, Jared (Anne) Love, Bradley and Emily Buska; great granddaughters, Madelyn Love and Charlotte Love, brother, Jim (Jan) Zimmer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Debbie Sparschu; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Sandy Sparschu.

Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Alzheimer’s Association.
