Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Bavarian Comfort Care; at the age of 97 years.
The daughter of the late Miles E. and Lillian M. (Turkish) Dean, Joyce was born on February 16, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a long-time member of Calvary Community Church. Joyce enjoyed making crafts, stained glass, macrame, sewing, quilting, reading and fishing. Above all, Joyce cherished the time spent with her family.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons: Carolyn (Fred) Greene; Connie Lavery; Ellery Tim David; John David (Dana Dankert); many grandchildren, great-granchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a son: Denny David; four brothers and one sister.
Honoring Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joyce’s life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Calvary Community Church, 2895 E. Moore Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48601.
