Joseph (Joe) Erhardt Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on Monday, 5/13/19 at his home in Saginaw. He was 78 years old. Joe Erhardt was born on 12/14/1940 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Erhardt. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Carol Bess on 7/21/1962 in Saginaw, MI. She survives him. He was employed as a lineman with General Motors retiring after 30 years of service. He was a charter member of the Flaming Pistons Car Club as well as a former member of the Beecher Fire Department. He enjoyed dancing, camping, his grandchildren, attending auctions, flea markets, playing cards and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Surviving are his wife; Carol Erhardt of 57 years, his children; Joseph (Jamie) Erhardt Jr., Robert (Jillian) Erhardt, Holli Erhardt, his grandchildren; Dakota, Joshua, Wade, Brooke, Jessica, Taylor, Tyler and Tanner, his great grandchildren; Grayson and Amethyst, as well as three of his twelve siblings; Loretta Griggins, Liz Yates and Martin Erhardt. He was preceded in death by Frank and Elizabeth Erhardt. A celebration of life will take place at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 5162 Chesaning Rd, Chesaning MI 48616.
