Alfano, Joseph Andrew Midland Michigan Formerly of Saginaw Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and nephew, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the age of 30 years. He was born February 5, 1988, in Saginaw, the son of Joseph Henry and Sherry Sue (Heath) Alfano. He graduated from Nouvel Catholic Central High School with the Class of 2006, where he had been a member of the wrestling team. He had been employed by Dow Chemical Company. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. Joe enjoyed camping, fishing and nature hikes. He dearly loved his sisters dog, Dewey. Joe especially loved spending time with his sons. Surviving are his sons, Blake Joseph Mayers and Joseph Anthony Alfano; his parents, Joseph and Sherry Alfano; two brothers and two sisters and their spouses, Jonathon and Melissa Alfano, Peter Joseph Alfano, Andrea and Pete Shepherd, and Amy and Josh Little; four nieces and one nephew, Lena and Gianna Alfano, Viviana and Rosalie Shepherd, and Brooks Little; his aunts and uncles, Nick and Dorothy Alfano, Peter and Rosemary Alfano, Jack and Beverly Alfano, Amelia Ehrhardt, and James Heath; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jack and Lena Alfano and Bert and Mary Lou Heath, and by an aunt, Julie Spindler. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and then on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
