Obituary

Jonah Silas Stamper
Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew passed away on May 5, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was 2 months and 17 days old.

Jonah was born on February 18, 2026, to his devoted parents, Nicholas David and Sharina Morgan (Spindler) Stamper. In his brief, but meaningful time on earth, Jonah brought immeasurable love, joy, and light into the lives of his family. His gentle presence and precious spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though his time here was far too short, Jonah touched countless lives with his innocence and the deep love he inspired. We have peace, knowing he is resting in Jesus’ hands now. To God be the glory. He will be remembered for the way he brought our family together and for the lasting imprint he leaves on our souls.

Jonah is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Nicholas and Sharina Stamper; siblings, Jennsyn, Harloe, and Jude Stamper; and his grandparents; Rev. Kevin and Sandra Leaman, and Rodney and Denise Spindler. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who held him close and treasured every moment with him.

Jonah was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Nicole Corbin; great grandparents, Ralph and Janet Iwen, and his great uncle, Darrel Thayer.

Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Saginaw Valley United Pentecostal Church, 7877 Bell Rd, Birch Run, MI 48415. Rev. Kevin Leaman will officiate with burial to follow at Cook Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
