John T. Weirauch

Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved partner, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his home, with his family at his side; at the age of 49 years.

The son of John Sauer and Joanne Weirauch, John was born on July 23, 1973 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1991. John then earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design. He taught the arts at various establishments throughout the community.  One of his greatest memories was traveling to China, where he taught English. He especially enjoyed visiting Florence, Italy to study art; and visited the Vatican where he attended mass officiated by Pope John Paul II. John enjoyed being outdoors, camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. In his free time, John would paint, sculpt, play the guitar, and he loved his drums, playing them daily to the end. He will be fondly remembered for his character, and the joy of the simple things of life.

Surviving is his significant other: Kimberly White; father: John Sauer; mother: Joanne Weirauch; brothers and sisters: Robert (Christine) Weirauch, James (Wonda) Weirauch, Linda (Scott) Kubik, and Elizabeth Sauer. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and very dear friends.

Honoring John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Major Chords for Minors, or an arts charity of the donor’s choice.
