John S. Sparck

Birch Run, Michigan

     Passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at home.  Age 83 years old.

     John was born December 18, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of the late Fredrick and Mary (Nearing) Sparck. He retired from Local 1098. He was an avid hunter, gardener, and sportsman.  He was known for his Dill Pickles. He loved to go to local Tractor Pulls.

     Surviving are two sons, Thomas Sparck and his fiancé, Angela Kienitz; Timothy Sparck; four grandchildren, Heather, Hollie, Stephanie and Courtney Sparck; five great grandchildren, James Maksin III, Aarika Maksin, Shane Rowe, Ashlynn Rowe, Kayleigh Jones; a sister Louise (Ed) Konecny; several nieces and nephews.  Three sisters, Helen, Margaret and Ann, two brothers, Anthony “Butch” and Hank have predeceased him.

     Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Rev. Jack Johnson will officiate with burial in Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Township. Friends may visit with family from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider.
