John E. Oppermann Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. Age 73 years. The son of Arthur and Hulda (Cassow) Oppermann was born March 7, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Catherine A. Lauer, January 9, 1960. She passed away January 11, 2013. John was employed by General Motors (Nexteer) retiring with over 30 years of service. He loved cars, University of Michigan Football and his dogs, Maggie and Bear. Surviving are 4 sons and their wives, Craig and Jean Oppermann; Scott and Debbie Oppermann; Matthew and Susan Oppermann; James and Jessica Oppermann; 8 grandchildren, Rachel Long and her husband, Larry; Josh, Mikayla, Bryson, Olivia, Giona and Taylor Oppermann, Michael Bostwick; a great grandson, Nathan Long; a sister, Jean; several nieces and nephews.
