Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the age of 74 years.

The son of the late Francis and Rose (Cimoch) Dailey was born on August 29, 1948 in Jackson, MI.  He graduated from St. Mary’s High School the class of 1966.  He then graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s of Science in 1970  and later his Master’s Degree from University of Michigan in 1977.  John married Jean London on December 6, 1974 in Jackson, MI; she survives him.  He worked for Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati as director of Radiology and Oncology, and later owned Hemlock Hardware and Martin’s Motel in East Tawas Michigan. John was a member of the Hemlock Lion’s Club, and Hemlock United Methodist Church.  He also was a member and served as president of the Tawas Bay Tourist and Convention Bureau and Hemlock Business Association.  John enjoyed DIY projects, crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving besides his wife of 49 years, Jean, are their children: Christina (Rich) Cocchiara, Kevin (Kiersten) Dailey, Keith (Katrina) Dailey, grandchildren: Noah, Nate, Grace, Julia, Hannah, Ian, his sisters: Roseann (Tom Mathieu) Dailey, Betty Lounds, his sister-in-law Alice (Carl) Town, brother-in-law Elwood (Marcia) London and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  John was predeceased by his sister Mary Clark and brothers-in-law: Richard Clark, Fred Lounds, and sister-in-law Carolyn London.

In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hemlock Lion’s Club or a charity of your choice.
