Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2022. He was 93 years old. John T. Gilmour, Jr. was born on September 24, 1928, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late John Sr. and Molly (O’Grady) Gilmour. He was a proud 1946 graduate of Saginaw High School. Throughout school and following graduation, Bud worked as a milk delivery driver for Gilmour Dairy. He married the love of his life, Shirley A. Bean, on May 29, 1948; she preceded him in death on July 20, 2008. Bud had the innate ability to connect and communicate with all people and naturally gravitated toward a career in public service. He was a faithful member of Bridgeport Community Church. In his spare time, Bud loved to play golf. The role of his lifetime was to be a loving and devoted husband, father, foster father of 125 children, and grandfather. A true Scotsman, Bud will forever be remembered as a fun-loving and outgoing person, as well as for living a truly amazing life filled with many beautiful stories.

Surviving are seven children and their spouses: John (Deanna) Gilmour, Greg (Kathy) Gilmour, Kathryn Gilmour, David Gilmour (Judith Martin), Lydia Gilmour, Jayne Gilmour, and Aaron Gilmour; 13 grandchildren: Ian Gilmour, Anna Gilmour, Meghan (Matt) Nagy, Michael Gilmour, Molly Gilmour, Miles Gilmour, Tris Gilmour, Schyler Gilmour, Emily Byron, Samantha Barth, Andrew Barth, Leigha Wilson, Mariah (John) Van Deusen; eight great-grandchildren: Ethan Gilmour, Mikaela Nagy, Declan Nagy, Cara Roush, Theoden Wagner, Eleeana Wilson, Vanessa Van Deusen, Makayla Van Deusen; and a brother, Michael Gilmour.
