Farrell, Joan M. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, July 03, 2014 at her home at the age of 79 years. The daughter of the late William and Lucille (Beaver) Johnson was born on February 21, 1935 in Bay City, MI. She graduated from Bay City Central. She married Leon B. Farrell; he predeceased her in 1997. Joan enjoyed BINGO, bowling and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Linda (Ron) Erzen, Debra Farrell, Janet Dexter, a daughter-in-law Christine Farrell, grandchildren: Brian (fianc DongHui) Erzen, Lisa (Matthew) Maher, Rachael (Adam) Jones, Timothy Dexter, Andrew (Camille) Dexter, great-grandchildren: Katelyn Maher, Jacob Maher, Nicholas Moore, Madison Jones, a sister Mildred Gordon, a brother James (Karen) Johnson, her special friends and caregivers: Elaine, Angela, Jeanne, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joan was predeceased by a son, Timothy Farrell, and three brothers: Robert Johnson, Fred Johnson, and William "Bill" Johnson. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Saginaw Valley Community Church, 3660 Hermansau Rd, Saginaw. Pastor Kevin Sullivan and Pastor Brenda Nolish will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service on Thursday.
