Jeffrey "Jeff" John Bartlett

Jeffrey "Jeff" John Bartlett of Freeland, Michigan, formerly of New England

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at his home. He was 68 years old. Jeffrey John Bartlett was born on January 3, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan, to John (Jack) and Muriel (Dark) Bartlett. He was a 1973 graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School where he participated in varsity baseball, football, and track. Following graduation, he attended Northwood Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree and joined General Motors in the New England area. He met his wife, Diane M. Kirby, while working in the Chevrolet Division of GM in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and they married on June 28, 1997; she survives him. Jeff worked in Marketing with General Motors for over 28 years of loyal and dedicated service; retiring in 2005. After nearly 40 years away from home, Jeff returned to Saginaw in 2017 to be closer to his family. Jeff enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding the hills on his quad with family and friends. When he wasn't spending time with his family, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and watching his favorite football teams, the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions. He will be remembered for being a prankster, his Donald Duck impersonation, and for truly enjoying life.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Diane M. Bartlett of Freeland; a son, Scott Bartlett of Wrentham, MA; one grandson, Jacob Bartlett of Whitinsville, MA; parents, John and Muriel Bartlett of Saginaw; three siblings: Gregory (Amy) Bartlett of Midland; Karen (Douglas) Haenlein of Saginaw; Trisha Buda of Saginaw; a sister-in-law, Gerrie Bartlett of Saginaw; two sisters-in-law: Mary Perry of NJ; Joan (John) Forman of ME. Also surviving are many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, including lifelong friend Tod Spooner, with whom he was reunited upon his return to Michigan.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Bartlett; a brother, Thomas Bartlett; a brother-in-law, Kevin Buda.

Honoring Jeff's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Rev. Fr.
