Dennings, Jean Linwood, Michigan (Formerly of Hemlock) Went to be with her Heavenly Father with her family by her side after a hard fought battle with ovarian cancer on May 24, 2015, age 63 years. Jean was born in Saginaw, Michigan on February 29, 1952 the daughter of the late Gerald and Lillian (Knoll) Beyersdorf. On December 30, 1977, she was married to Lester Dennings who survives her. She worked as a nurse at the former Martin Luther Home in Saginaw for 15 years. Surviving besides her husband, Lester, are her son, Jeremy Dennings of Jenera, Ohio; daughters Teresa Mitchell and fiance Stacy Padget of Freeland, Michigan, and Heather (Levi) O'Brien of Linwood, Michigan. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory four wonderful grandchildren: Jonathon, Solomon, Elijah, and Abigail; sister Judy Birch of Battle Ground, Washington; brother Gary (Bunny) Beyersdorf of Traverse City, Michigan; sister-in-law Rita Dennings of Gladwin, Michigan; son-in-law Sean Mitchell of Alma, Michigan, and her beloved dog, Patches. She also leaves behind her loving nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins and other relatives. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Virginia Samuel, brother-in-law Frank Samuel, and sister-in-law Marie LaCrosse. The family would like to thank McClaren Home Health Care and Hospice for the care that they gave her in her final days. Funeral service will take place 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 28, 2015 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church 2460 S. Fraser Road, Kawkawlin, Michigan. Pastor Andrew Lindke will officiate with private burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeland. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. on Wednesday from 2:00 -9:00 p.m. and at churchon Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
