JB Wale

Passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, at his home. Age 90 years. The son of the late Esther (Moore) and Earl Wale was born November 1, 1925 in Porter, Township, Midland County, Michigan. He married Lucy Wallace on March 23, 1947. His wife of 70 years survives him. He was employed as a Union Carpenter. He was a member of Merrill Congregational Church. He loved woodworking and to hunt and fish. He helped found the Merrill Broadhead Archery Club. Surviving besides his wife, Lucy, are five children and their spouses, James and Mary Wale; David R. and Marie Wale; Margaret and Duane Miller; Brian and Brenda Wale; Jay Wale; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, Beatrice Emery; Dessie Fall; LD Wale; Lilly James; Larry and Mary Wale; Karen and Fed Wallen; many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Diane Emard, 2 sisters, Anita Mudd and Norma Bushre have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw, Merrill. Rev. Richard Gossett will officiate with burial in Midland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service..
