Jason Robert Gross of Elsie, Michigan
Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. He was 54 years old. Jason Robert Gross was born on April 6, 1971, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Robert and Linda (Prescott) Gross. He was a 1991 graduate of Merrill High School. Following graduation, Jason joined the workforce by working for St. Charles Lumber (Michigan Pallet). He was also employed in production with GKN in Owosso and as a Forklift Operator at Hemlock Semiconductor. Jason also served his community as a 13-year volunteer with Marion Springs Fire Department. He was proud to hold all the certifications necessary to fight fires and help people. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted father. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life and made his heart feel full. When he wasn’t with family, Jason could be found spending time outside or fixing/wrenching on cars. He will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, for the love he had for his family, and for being able to spend time with those he loved.
Surviving are four children: Tyler (Sierra) Gross of Farwell; Travis Gross and his girlfriend, Haley Branch of Shields; Trenton Gross and his girlfriend, Shelby Wilson of Oakley; Jenna Gross and her boyfriend Pauly Wood of Merrill; four grandchildren: Ivy Wood, Kylie Gross, Samia and Ricky Gross; a sister, Tina Cobb of Chesaning; an aunt, Kathy Gross of Edmore; an uncle, Robert Gross of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends too numerous to mention, but held closely to the family’s heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Linda Gross.
Honoring Jason’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill, MI 38637. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family through www.casefuneralhome.com.
