Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center, with her family at her side. Age 79 years.
The daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Fletcher) Robishaw, Janice was born on November 14, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Robert Lach on October 21, 1967, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Saginaw. They shared many wonderful years together. He survives her. Janice was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She enjoyed time up north, knitting, crocheting, reading, watching the Hallmark Channel, taking walks, and going on boat rides on Long Lake. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones, and attending Church in both Hemlock and Hale.
Surviving besides her husband, Robert Lach; are their daughter and son, Amy (Brian) Eichstaedt, David (Kellie) Lach; grandchildren, Zachery (Samantha) Lach, Matthew (Jillian) Eichstaedt, Malorie Eichstaedt, Lauren Lach, Natalie Lach; great-grandchildren, Brooks and Brody Lach; brother, Jerry (Debbie) Robishaw; sister, Joyce (Patrick) Payne. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd, Hemlock, MI 48626. Rev. Michael Speckhard will officiate with burial to take place at a later date in Esmond-Evergreen Cemetery, Hale, MI. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hemlock or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hale.
