Passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at her home in Irons, Michigan. Janice was born in Saginaw, Michigan.
 
Janice was known for her feisty personality and her vibrant spirit that touched the lives of many. She had a variety of hobbies and interests that included crafting, crocheting, watching TV, traveling, and going to yard sales. Her love for creativity and exploration shown in everything she did.
 
Janice is survived by her loving husband Richard Gaunt, Sr.; devoted son Richard Gaunt, Jr. (Janine Claus-Peddy); daughter: Bonny (Craig) Cramer; daughter: Rebecca "Becky" Gaunt (Will Beck); She is also survived by her sister Betty Lockwood; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew along with their spouses; three great-nieces; as well as numerous other family members and friends. She is predeceased by her parents: Edward and Elizabeth Raysis (Miller); her beloved son Dennis Gaunt; and her brother Paul Raysis.

Funeral service will take place at 1:30p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, with burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Hoult will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, from 2:00p.m.-6:00p.m. on Monday, June 10 and on Tuesday from 12:30p.m. until the time of service.
