Obituary

Lottridge, Janet M. Fraser, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw Beloved mother, sister and aunt, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Fraser Villa, at the age of 92 years. Janet Mardell Cooper was born October 8, 1925, in Kingston, Michigan, the daughter of the late Fred and Nellie (Peter) Cooper. She graduated from Kingston High School and received her Nursing Degree from Michigan State University. She served with the Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II, serving in Seattle, Washington. She had made her home in Saginaw, Michigan, for most of her adult life, where she was employed as a nurse at St. Lukes Hospital and later Womens OBGYN. She was a long-time member of Ames United Methodist Church, volunteered with its shut-in program, and was an active member of its United Methodist Women group, having served as Treasurer and President. She was an avid bowler, bowling in mixed leagues, and enjoyed walking at the Mall with her friends. She was a member of the Eleanor Frank Saginaw Senior Center and enjoyed playing Euchre with her friends there. She married Kenneth Lottridge August 17, 1963; he predeceased her September 24, 1979. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ron Kosal, St. Clair Shores; two step-grandchildren, Kimberly Kosal and Ronald Kosal Jr.; one brother and his wife, Max and Mary Ann Cooper, Cass City; one sister, Shirley Wolfe, Linden; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jim Getchel, and by a brother and his wife, Linton and Mary Ann Cooper. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State Street, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service. Rev. Douglas E. Mater will officiate. Private committal will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
