James Oliver Young Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Covenant Cooper. Age 79 years. Jim was born August 25, 1939 in Saginaw, the son of the late Rankin O. and Dorothy (Wuckert) Young. He served in the U. S. Army. He married Sue Ellen Lee, September 8, 1962. She survives him. Jim retired from General Motors following many years of service. Surviving besides his wife, Sue Ellen, are his children, Tracy DeMerell; Michael (Michelle) Young; Kristi (Todd) Simnitch; five grandchildren, Zachary (Karley) DeMerell; Bethani (Greg) Hitchcock; Dalten Simnitch; Christopher Young and Catherine Young; two great grandchildren, Braydon DeMerell and Liberty DeMerell; several nieces and nephews. A sister, Anita Young, has predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the W. L. Case and Company, Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ken MacGillivary will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the chapel form 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
