Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great pa, passed away at his home on Friday, February 16 2024, with his loving family at his side.
Jim was born in Hemlock, Michigan, on April 2, 1939, to the late Earl and Alice (Earle) Kehoe. He married the love of his life Margaret Smith on April 9, 1960. Jim started his career as a milk hauler with Earl Kehoe and Sons, hauling milk from farm to dairy. He bought his own route in 1959, Kehoe Brothers. He worked on several fall campaigns at Michigan Sugar in Saginaw. He then went to work at Chevrolet Gray Iron Foundry until retiring in 1993. His true joy was farming, which he retired from in 2018.
Jim will be dearly missed by his loving wife of sixty-three years Margaret Kehoe; children Neil and Melissa Kehoe of Hemlock, Daniel Kehoe of Florida, and Jamie Kehoe of Hemlock; grandchildren Megan, Kaitlyn, and Noah Kehoe, of Hemlock, and Shane, Savannah, and Shannon Kehoe of Florida; great-grandchildren Lane Methner and Veronica Kehoe of Hemlock; siblings Robert Kehoe, Mary Bell, Karen Recker, Danny (Alan) Braley, Barbara Wetherell, Earlene (Bob) Oomen, Colleen (Phil) Alvarez; in-laws Mike Lamont, Dale Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his son Michael James Kehoe; granddaughter Montana Rose Kehoe; twin sister Janet (Tom) Leddy, siblings Gladys Murphy and Deanna (Jody) Lamont; in-laws Alvera Kehoe, Ronnie Bell, Larry Recker, and Floyd Wetherell, Dave Smith, Dale Smith, and Helen Smith Tessin.
Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, where the service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Kyle Hug will officiate the service with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
