Passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Wellspring Lutheran Services and Rehab Center at the age of 69 years.

The son of the late Albert and Theresa (Krenzke) Bohn was born on February 27, 1957, in Saginaw and grew up on the family farm in Merrill. The family farm inspired Jame’s love for the outdoors and farming, a vocation he happily enjoyed. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he was known for his steadfast faith and dedication to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In his youth, James enjoyed pheasant hunting and slow pitch softball. When he was older, James enjoyed attending baseball games for the Great Lakes Loons.

Surviving are three brothers: Paul and Rose Bohn, David Bohn, Dean Bohn, his nieces and nephews: Daniel and Joshua Bohn, Lisa and Emma Bohn and many relatives and friends including his close friend Richard Sommer.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd., Hemlock, Rev. Larry Warsinski will officiate with burial at Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 125 E. Saginaw St., in Merrill on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
