Obituary

Our loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, August 11,2026. Age 90 years.

Jack was born in Saginaw on January 15, 1936, the son of the late Herbert and Esther (Hauman) Walker. He married the love of his life, Norma Jean Walker, on January 15, 1955. Norma preceded him in death on April 8, 2024. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hemlock, where he served as a Trustee. He worked for General Motors for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Jack enjoyed traveling with Norma. He also enjoyed the outdoors, where he spent many days farming, cutting wood, and hunting. He also looked forward to time spent with the “Coffee Club at the Elevator.” Most of all, he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his children, Robert (Wendy) Walker and Vicky (John van Benschoten) Walker; grandchildren, Robert (Kindra Leser) Walker Jr., Amy (Russ) Zumer, J.C. (Leticia Mireles-Enszer) Enszer and Hailey (Brendon Edwards) Enszer; great grandchildren, Kasey and Aaron Walker and Rylee and Lyla Zumer; brother, Donald (Sharon) Walker and sister, Jane Jungnitsch; sisters-in-law, Leila Kreager and Shirley Haven. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Walker; and brothers-in-law, Robert Kreager and James Haven.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, August 17, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Road, Hemlock, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
