Ignacio Eligio Guerrero Villarreal “Nacho" Passed away suddenly the morning of September 23, 2026. He was 78 years old.

Ignacio was born on April 24th, 1948 in Lockhart, TX to the late Eligia (Guerrero) Silva and Serapio Villarreal.

Anyone who met him would be instantly charmed, mom included. He had a bigger than life presence and loved to have a good time. He also made the best menudo and salsa in town.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Sandra J. Villarreal (Baker), mother, and 10 siblings. He is survived by his seven children; Ignacio E. Villarreal Jr., Kathy L. (Darrell) Johnson, Thomas J. (Kim) Villarreal, Mark A. Villarreal, Matthew J. Villarreal, Rosemarie S. (Trevor) Daly, and Elicia J. (Shaheen) Houshiar, his sister Jessie Rodriguez, and brother-in-law; Lupe Rodriguez (Jessie), and his many cousins, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Ignacio’s wishes, cremation is to take place. He will return to rest with his family in Lockhart, TX. A celebration of life will be planned and details to be shared with friends and family at a later date.
