Henry Thomas VanBocxlaer James Township Passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, at his home. Age 75 years. The son of the late Josephine (Kaufmann) and Henry VanBocxlaer was born February 23, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was employed by General Motors Corp- Saginaw Steering Gear retiring with 28 years of service. He also helped with the family business, VanBocxlaer Trucking. He enjoyed restoring cars and attending car shows having won many trophies for his cars. Surviving are three children and their spouses, Amy and Martin Geul; Mark and Marci VanBocxlaer; Jason and Lori VanBocxlaer; six grandchildren, Westley and Parker Geul; Hunter and Dylan VanBocxlaer; Logan and Connor VanBocxlaer; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley and George Halpin; JoAnn Szymas; several nieces and nephews. A son, Timothy O'Brien, a brother-in-law, John Szymas; a niece, Lisa Szymas and a nephew, David Szymas have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd.
