Helen R. Schrems

Thomas Township

Passed away Saturday August 8, 2026, at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper, at the age of 82 years. She was born December 8, 1943, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Hans and Vesta (Ensminger) Reimann. Helen was a 1961 graduate of St Mary High School, and then Michigan State University. She was a long-time teacher with Swan Valley Schools. Helen married Ronald R. Schrems August 14, 1965, Ronald predeceased her February 13, 2003.

Helen and Ronald were blessed with five children who brought them great pride and joy; Maryellene Grace and her husband Henry Fee; Liz and her husband Mike Peters, Ronald R. Schrems Jr., Christina Schrems, and John Reimann Schrems who predeceased her in 1990. She also leaves six much loved grandchildren, Johnathon (MacKenzie) Grace, Alexander (Lillie) Grace, Justin (Kelsey) Peters, and Noelle Glodoski, Nick Peters, and Noah Glodoski; additionally she was truly blessed with three great-grandchildren; Sadie Jo and Benjamin Grace, Violet Peters.

Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 12, 2026, at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors 201 N. Miller Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609 Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
