Robinson, Helen Louise Saginaw, MI Passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, age 89 years. Helen Ecker was born in Saginaw, Michigan September 13, 1924 the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Shuler) Ecker. She married Bernard "Bud" Robinson December 1, 1989. He predeceased her January 8, 2010. Helen was a member of Countryside Trinity Church. She was a Past Queen of Daughters of the Nile, Makere Temple #99 and a member of the Eastern Star. Helen is survived by her son, John (Janice) Wood; two granddaughters, Michelle Wood and Kimberely Wood; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her sister, Nada (Jesse) Wardlow; four step-children, Bernard (Ruth) Robinson, Jr., Patricia (Kent) Francis, Julia Garrison, Dale (Betty) Gast. In addition to her husband, Helen was predeceased by two brothers, John Ecker, Jr. and Robert Ecker; three sisters, Neva Ryan, Gloria Putnam and Norma Wilson. The funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Kenneth Parker will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Friday from 2:00 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 9:00 p.m. where they may join the family for a memorial service by Daughters of the Nile, Makere Temple #99 at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service.
