Hayes James Mack

Hayes J. Mack Saginaw, MI passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday February 14, 2023 Age 89 years.  The son of the late Bernice & Charles Mack was born May 29, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan.  He proudly served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War.  Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Hayes married the love of his life, Esther A. Wolkens on October 13, 1956.  Hayes worked at General Motors and retired in 1996 after 31 years of service.  He was a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Saginaw.  Hayes was an amazing provider for his family.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Hayes loved his music and could be found dancing and singing throughout the house.  Above all, Hayes loved spending time with his family. 

Surviving him is his wife Esther, his children and their spouses, Diane & Randy Rogers of Texas, Katherine & Mike Foster of Ohio, Nancy & Robin Ray of Saginaw, Glen & Mary Mack (Henne) of Saginaw.  Grandchildren: Kristin & Andrew Kazmierski, Cynthia & Brad Schanck, Joshua Mack (Sarah), Cody (Noelle) Ray.  Great-Grandchildren: Abbey (Jake), Kaitlyn, Kennedy, Breana, Parker, Brayten, Braxten, and Faith.

A funeral service for Hayes will take place at 11:00am on Friday, February 17th, 2023, at W.L. Case & Company Funeral Home, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, Michigan, Rev. Julie Bailey presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday, February 16, and on Friday from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Those wanting to make a show of their sympathy may wish to consider a contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
