Gloria Jean Younk

Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. Age 76 years.

Gloria was born on January 7, 1946, daughter of the late Melvin and Kathleen (Rappley) Trier, in Saginaw.

She married Arnold Younk on September 6, 1975. He survives her. Gloria retired from St. Mary’s of Michigan after many years of dedicated service. In her younger years, she played the accordion, taught lessons and enjoyed roller skating where she met many of her lifelong friends. Gloria loved cleaning her home while listening to Elvis. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed reading and crocheting, creating many gifted blankets. The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year and looked forward to the large family gatherings. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, watching the wildlife and kept her lawn immaculately groomed.

Gloria will be missed by her husband, Arnold Younk; daughters, Paula Leaym of Washougal, WA and Wendi Younk of Bay City; granddaughters, Ash Leaym (Ilea) and Haley Leaym (Lucas); great granddaughter, Luke; aunt, Beverly Sperling and special friend, Susan North.

A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road, with burial in Swan Creek Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the chapel on Friday.
