Baumann, Gladys (Dowis) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on December 10, 2013 at age 97. Born March 7, 1916 in Saginaw, Ml. The daughter of Herbert & Helen (Keller) Dowis. In 1954 she married William Sieggreen in North Carolina. They made their home in Oscoda, Ml where they lived for 20 years. During that time, they owned and operated a restaurant for 10 years. William passed away in 1972. Gladys then moved back to Saginaw and in 1980 she married Emanuel Baumann. He passed away in 2002. They were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Court and Bond Streets. Surviving is one brother Robert (Irene) Dowis of Phoenix Arizona, one stepdaughter Virginia (Donald) Kain, and one stepson Howard (Cathy) Baumann all of Saginaw, and many nieces and nephews. One special niece, her caregiver Elaine Snellenberger and many step grandchildren. Gladys was predeceased by four sisters, Violet Payne, Dorothy Snellenberger, Beatrice Vibber and Erma Gardner. Also, three brothers, Raymond Dowis, Russell Dowis and Ralph Dowis. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. William Brassow will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
