Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was 67 years old. Gino P. Hernandez was born on November 1, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Socorro and Guadalupe (Perez) Hernandez. He had been declining in heath for several years, but he enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and listening to his Oldies Motown Music. Gino also was a voracious reader, enjoyed watching Western and Classic movies, and enjoyed visiting with his friends and relatives.
Surviving are a son and two daughters: Gino Hernandez, Jr. of Saginaw; Sophia (James) Perry II of Kettering, OH; Delores Hernandez of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Skylar Motley, Delaneó Socorro Hernandez, Felicia Sheraé Walton, and Xavier Armon Hernandez; two great-grandchildren: Brooke Gabrielle Riche and Frankie Riche III; two brothers: Noel Hernandez of Saginaw; Jerry Hernandez of Lansing; brother-in-law, Richard Reyes of Saginaw; and special cousins: Linda O’Connor and Richard Villareal. Also surviving are beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Socorro and Guadalupe Hernandez; three sisters: Toye (Jessie) Osuna, Mary Reyes, and Angie Cruz.
Honoring Gino’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
