George R. Romanelli, Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan

Loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020. He was 89 years old. George Richard Romanelli, Sr. was born on May 1, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late George T. and Mary (Tappen) Romanelli. He married Darline J. Carrigan on December 31, 1949, in Saginaw; she preceded him in death on January 23, 2019. George enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, hunting and sports. He will fondly be remembered for always smiling and having a great sense of humor.

Surviving are a daughter and a son: Debra Churchill, George (Olga Fias) Romanelli, Jr., four grandchildren: Katherine (Ted), Michelle (Cliff), Jen, Alexander; four great-grandchildren: Nicole, Mercedes, Cliff, Chloe; a great-great-grandson, Landynn. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Richard and Michael Romanelli; two great-grandchildren: Ryan and Trinity; a brother, Thomas Romanelli.
