Obituary

Bishop Sr., George L. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Meadow View Manor at the age of 91 years. The son of the late George and Margarite (Lewis) Bishop was born on April 30, 1924 in Flint. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He married Sarah B. Savage on June 21, 1944; she predeceased him on September 20, 2012. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Surviving are his children: Larry and Monica Bishop, Hubbard Lake, MI; Shelly Marshall, Saginaw, MI; Bob and Linda Bishop, Hemlock, MI; John and Lyla Bishop, Chesaning, MI; Son-in-law: Jim Salesky, Bay City, MI;18 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, a brother, Harold Bishop, several nieces, nephews and a close friend Jeannie Bishop. A son, Billy, daughter Charlene, three sisters and one brother predeceased him. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams St. at Mackinaw, Saginaw. Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate with military honors to follow. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
