George Edward Owen

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and son, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Double Lung Transplant. Age 71 years.

George was born on September 20, 1951, son of Dorothy (Weighman) and the late Morris Owen, in Saginaw. He married Polly Richter on May 24, 1975. She survives him. George enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing, camping or traveling. He loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. He never met a stranger, had a kind spirit that would attract people to him and was a true friend. George was a Gift of Life recipient and lived the definition of being a strong fighter. He will be remembered for his smile and having the determination to not give up.

George is survived by his wife, Polly Owen; children, Shawn (Sean) Seabase, Shannon (Steve) Ochoa and Ryan (Tina) Owen; grandchildren, Hannah, Paige, Olivia, Steven and Tyler; special bonus grandchildren, Gillian, Ben and Kennison; his mother, Dorothy Owen; many special relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Dave Owen and his Yellow Lab, Oliver.
