George Anthony Koutras
Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Age 55 years.
The son of Anthony George and Rula (Armeros) Koutras was born October 31, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School, Class of 1985, and received his bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering from Western Michigan University. He owned and operated Koutras Automotive with his brother. He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. George enjoyed traveling. He was very gregarious, social, was passionate about his views, and had a large circle of friends. George had a large and caring heart and wouldn’t hesitate to help those in need.
Surviving besides his parents, Anthony and Rula, are two brothers and their wives,
John and Andrea Koutras; Constantine and Mary Koutras; his nephews and niece, Adrian, Vincent, Georgia, Andonis and Timo Koutras; his aunts and uncles, Hariklia, the Stamatos family; Steve and Bonnie Armeros; several cousins and other relatives.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 4970 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw. Fr. Timothy Cook will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday where the Trisagion service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends and family may visit at the church on Tuesday from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
