Gale Marie Champagne

Our loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 23, 2024. Age 58 years. 

Gale was born on December 3, 1965, daughter of Doris “Emma” (Davis) and the late Thomas Magyar, in Saginaw. She married James “Jim” Champagne on August 23, 1985. Gale earned an Associate Degree in Interior Design and implemented her skills in decorating her home with love. Gale and Jim loved and lived life to the fullest. Whether it was traveling or enjoying each other’s company. Together they worshiped the Lord and as Lay Ministers they shared God’s word at the City Rescue Mission, county jails and other shelters. Gale had a passion of advocating for children of many ages and many years as a teacher aide. She enjoyed the outdoors and was active physically whether it was exercising, pilates, walking the dog or just taking in the rays of the sun. Gale adored her family. She was a very nurturing and caring mother, and would be sure to leave inspiration throughout her home to encourage her children. Gale treasured her family, cooking healthy meals, attending birthday celebrations and spreading joy with her infectious laugh. 

Gale will be deeply missed by her husband of 38 years, Jim Champagne; children, Benjamin Champagne, Abraham (Adam) Burkhard-Champagne and Solomon (Hannah) Champagne; her mother, Emma Magyar; siblings, Anita Hanks, Thomas Magyar and Robert (Shelley) Magyar; many nieces, nephews relatives and friends. 

Funeral Service will take place at 12:00p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Jim Doran will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, at the chapel, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
