Gary Lee Walker

Gary Lee Walker, a dedicated family man, passed away on May 18, 2024 at the age of 81. He was born on April 6, 1943, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Clarence Walker and Delcie Sharp Walker. He resided most of his life in Hemlock, Michigan, which was the town he truly loved.

Gary devoted over 30 years of his life to General Motors before retiring in 1999. His commitment to his work was evident through his membership in the UAW Local 699, where he formed lasting friendships and contributed to his community.

Outside of work, Gary cherished the outdoors. He found solace in deer and duck hunting, as well as fishing. An avid sports enthusiast, he took great joy in coaching his sons in baseball, instilling in them the values of teamwork and perseverance. Gary's support extended to the next generation as he enthusiastically attended his grandchildren's sporting events. 

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved and cherished grandson Brandon Walker; and siblings Lavona Miller, Robert Walker, and Bunnie Listvan. He is survived by his loving children Troy Walker, Cindy (Jeff) Wittbrodt, and Steven (Kathy) Walker; three grandchildren Stephan, Candice, and LeeAnna; three great-grandchildren; as well as one sister Lila Delgado.

Gary will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to both his family and career. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
