Gary Sam McNier, Merrill, Michigan, passed away, Saturday , July 9, 2016 at his home, at the age of 75 years. Gary was born April 21, 1941 in Alma, Michigan to Frank and Hazel (Moulton) McNier. He married the former Connie Lou Peters in 1969 they were married 16 years. Gary was employed at General Motors for 34 years. At heart he was a collector of many items and had lots of hobbies. Gary is survived by his two adult children, Joseph McNier, and his wife Staci of Merrill, MI, and Melissa McNier of Houston, TX. Grandchildren, Alanis McNier, Mike Rosales, Emmah McNier Hall and Lunden McNier, his sister, Ann Doehring and her husband Wilton, nieces Claudia Doehring Stockwell, Roxanne Doehring Couck and Lisa Doehring Hartman, a host of longtime friends and neighbor, Dick Rapley. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday July 16, 2016 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 125 E.
