Entered Eternal Rest on July 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 66 years. Gary was born on a Wednesday in June 13, 1951, in Bay City, Michigan the only child of the late Joseph and Betty (Davenport) Gazimek. He graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1969. He continued his education at Saginaw Valley State College where he obtained his Masters Degree. On May 22, 1976, he wed the former Patricia Ann Wise; she survives him. He initially entered the work force as an employee of The Dow Chemical Company but later switched over to the pharmaceutical field. He went to work for Wyeth then toiled for Pfizer until his retirement in 2010. Gary most loved spending time with his family; they were his whole world. He also enjoyed reading, pizza, the Tigers, Diet Pepsi, and the occasional swig of Tequila. He had a fondness for shopping at Jacks Fruit and Meat Market and Meijer. Gary will be remembered as a family man; hard-working, dedicated and always possessing the right answer. He had a giant heart, quick wit, the ability to set a stranger at ease immediately and fall in love with him within minutes. Besides his wife Pat, those left to cherish his memory are his children, Melissa (Jason) Bostwick and Mark (Jessica) Gazimek; twin grandchildren, Hudson "my little buddy Huddy" and Hailee "my little sweetheart" Bostwick; and his once-in-a-lifetime dog, Edward. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Rd. with burial to follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Angels Among Us or to Amazing Grace Animal Rescue.
