Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Shields Comfort Care, with his family at his side; at the age of 70 years.
The son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Hamilton) Chubner, Fred was born on March 4, 1951 in Dearborn, Michigan. He graduated from Edsel Ford High School. Fred proudly served in the United States Marine Corps until Honorably Discharged in 1977. He married Robin G. Yancy on April 25, 1984 in Dearborn, Michigan; she survives him. Fred worked for many years at Chevrolet, Livonia and General Motors, Saginaw. Fred cherished the time spent with his family.
Surviving besides his wife of 37 years, Robin; are his children: Cory Chubner, Brett Chubner, Brandon (Alicia) Kaster, Foster Kaster, Laura Chubner; grandchildren: Dylan Kaster, Maddisyn Kaster; brother and sister: Kurt (Connie) Chubner, Barbara Peterson. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his sister: Jane Szocinski.
A private service will take place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Semper Fi Fund.
