Frank passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2026, at the age of 68. Frank was beloved by his spouse Lois Lanning, son Francis H. Benton Jr, his grandchildren Francis Benton III, Ezra Benton, Chase Benton, Cataleya Benton, brother-in-law Michael Lanning, brothers Kenneth Benton, William Benton and David Benton, his sisters Nora Benton and Viola Lucke.
Frank was born to Richard and Ruth Benton on September 21,1957 in Saginaw Michigan. He was later adopted by Albert and Lucille Laraby in 1963 after the passing of his father Richard. Frank graduated from Buena Vista High school in 1976 and attend some college. Frank and Lois got together in the summer of 1989. Frank’s interests were playing video games, watching movies, and hanging out with his grandkids. He was a fan of Detroit sports, but a huge fan of the Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines. He was a very social person, you start talking to him you could not get him to stop, the man can talk your ears off.
Surviving beside his spouse of 37 years, Lois, is their son: Francis (Angelique) Benton Jr, grandchildren Francis Benton III, Ezra Benton, Chase Benton, and Cataleya Benton, brothers William Benton and David Benton, foster brother Jerry Laraby, sisters Nora Benton and Viola Lucke, brother-in-Law Micheal Lanning, and many nephews, nieces, and friends
Funeral service will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the funeral chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Benton and Lanning family appreciate all the well wishes and prayer from everyone, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
