Floyd K. Hausbeck passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the age of 91 years.
Floyd was born on December 2, 1933, in Saginaw to the late Myrtle (Spangler) and Russell Hausbeck. He was raised in Reese, Michigan on the family farm. Floyd served with the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He married the love of his life Barbara Sommers on June 22, 1957; she predeceased him on September 26, 2000. Floyd enjoyed working in the trucking industry throughout his career. He and Barb lived in the Saginaw area their entire lives.
Floyd enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, watching sports, and spending time with family.
Surviving are his daughter, Patrice (Kevin) Brown of Grand Rapids, and sons, William (Janet) Hausbeck of Frankenmuth and John (Chris) Hausbeck of Freeland; grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Nick (Sophie) Brown, Katie (Fiance', James Cheskaty) Hausbeck, Carlye (Gabe Ayala) Hausbeck, Morgan (Adam Janower) Princing, and Camden (Brooke) Princing; great grandsons, Declan and Luca Princing, and Arturo Ayala; brother, Donald Hausbeck of Reese and sister, Dorothy Schultz of Sun Lake, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
Floyd was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Hausbeck and James Hausbeck.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Pastor Mark Auernhamer will officiate the service. Floyd’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday. Private interment will take place in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Cancer Society.
